02.23.2008 | The Perfect Camera Bag: FOUND!
I’ve been searching the depths of the Internet to find the perfect camera bag. I thought I’d found it just before Christmas when I posted my Christmas wishlist, but when Christmas morning rolled along and I found the bag under the tree, I couldn’t have been more disappointed. Needless to say, I returned it immediately and set out on my search once again. I decided to put the search off for a while in January, but once the bad weather was here to stay in Ithaca, I realized that it wasn’t safe to carry my camera around without a case anymore. Back to searching. Three bags later, I’ve finally found the perfect one. Which one is it you say? Well you’ll have to scroll to the bottom to find out! 02.13.2008 | I Still Wannabe A Spice Girl
It finally happened. I finally got to see the Spice Girls LIVE in concert!
When I first heard tickets were on sale for dates in NJ, I jumped on them. The excitement has been building ever since. I rarely get excited about things - mostly because I don’t like to set myself up for disappointment. But this time, I was excited beyond words. I was even more excited to be sharing the experience with my oldest friend Erin. We went through our Spice Girls phase (and many others) together and I can’t think of another person I would have wanted to go to this concert with. (more…)
02.10.2008 | An Unlikely Addiction
I’ll be honest with you. When I first heard about Yahoo! Live on Valleywag I was really skeptical. A) it’s not really my cup of tea. I’m not into the whole lifecasting thing, and B) it’s just weird!
Then it launched.
I tried it. I was hooked. INSTANTLY. I don’t know what it is about it, but it’s so much fun! I’ve really enjoyed meeting and talking to new people, some old friends, or watching some really talented people show off their skills on their channels. I’ve watched some people sing, some play instruments, even a Barack Obama rally! It’s been a huge time sink, but so much fun at the same time! (more…)

02.04.2008 | About the Redesign
Those of you that actually click through to the site may have noticed a bit of a change. I impulsively decided to redesign the blog because I just prefer the look of light on dark. I think it’s easier on the eyes.
I decided to redesign the look of this blog for a few reasons. One being that the old design was absolute crap. In the process, I actually ended up coming up with a design for jennvargas.com and decided to just modify it for use here. I’m still a fan of the pink-on-grey look a bit more than this blue, but I wanted the sites to be at least a little bit different. At the same time, I thought it would be good to have some consistency between the two so that they reflect the fact that they’re both mine.
Keep in mind, as always, these designs are a work in progress. I’m always tweaking something here or there, especially when I have a lot of homework that I need to be avoiding.

Oh yeah…and yay to the Giants winning the Super Bowl! I don’t really follow football, but it’s cool that they won.
