back-to-school spirit

As I mentioned a week or so ago, I’ve been trying to get myself in the back-to-school spirit lately. Despite my best efforts, I can’t help but sound like a giant ball of bitterness anytime someone asks me about school.

Since I’m generally a pretty visual person and photos usually help me get out of a funk, I thought I’d pull up some of my favorite photos from Cornell’s campus to try to reignite my spark and make myself see going back to school as more of an opportunity rather than an impending doom. And since I figured this page could use a little photo flair, I’ve decided to post some here. Enjoy!

  2. Jenn, I am sooo going to miss you. These photos are sweet and I realize how long it’s been since I’ve even seen all the gorges sites around Ithaca. Can I get my people to do a “rescue attempt?” Read rescue attempt as south american style kidnapping and seizure. We can hide you somewhere around here for sure. don’t go back.

  3. I love the gothics/war memorial! This is a great spot for shooting pics/video with the long, symmetrical hall structure and the beautiful lighting you can sometimes catch.

I used to live right next to that very door in your first photograph, ahhh! And now, now where shall I live?! Haha.

  4. Sorry, Dee, we need her back taking pictures here! And, alanG, I lived on the fifth floor of McFaddin for two years. :-)

  5. @MHA, don’t get I get to choose? :P

@Dee. I can’t say I’m agreeing with you plan, but you know, I wouldn’t put up a fight. So do what you think is best. Also, come visit me in Ithaca. The end :D

  6. Those photos definitely make me want to get back to Cornell–but then I saw those horrid snowy photos..lol

  7. Cornell appears to have quite the picturesque campus! I really like the last picture.

  8. A nice school
