We started dating in sophamore year of high school. Your words were very kind and much appreciated; she was my best friend as well as my wife. In a way, you did get to let her know what she meant to you, because all her students meant that much to her. She often followed their successes in life through newspapers and students from the same family or neighborhood. She was a rare person:--one who sacrificed her need for others' wants.
